The WorkPlace Group, Inc. (WPG) Celebrates Ten-Year Anniversary
Florham Park, NJ, October 22, 2007: The WorkPlace Group, Inc. (WPG), a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) provider, celebrated the company’s 10-year anniversary on Saturday, September 15th, 2007, at an evening baseball game at Newark Bears Stadium in Newark, NJ.
The catered event held at the stadiums private boxes and upper deck, attracted a crowd of more than 100, including WPG employees, clients and family members of both groups. In a brief presentation, Dr. Steve Lindner, WPG’s CEO and a founder, warmly thanked employees and clients for their contribution to the firm’s strong growth, and also presented a 10-year anniversary award to WPG’s first employee, Domniki Demetriadou, Ph.D., WPG's Director of Process Management and Assessments.
The event, built around WPG’s “Family First” credo, then quickly turned to focus on entertainment. Kid-focused activities, like face painting, balloon art, and private autograph sessions with Newark Bears players kept children entertained while adults socialized, relaxed and watched the game. One attendee, Mark Bruce, a Sales Manager from WPG client Idearc Media, commented, “I’ve personally been working with the WorkPlace Group for more than a year now. Every candidate they send is pre-qualified and someone we would want to see. In fact, we’ve hired 80% of the candidates they’ve presented. So, it’s been great partnering with them and it’s been a pleasure to share in their anniversary celebration here today. This was a fantastic event held in a really nice venue.”
